Industrial Partners

Our Current Industrial Partners

  • Next to the academic partners, we will set up and extend a network of industry partners to contribute to the H2-Markets project. A strategic partner in building up the network will be the Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and Morocco. Both chambers have already significant activities in the area, which will be linked to the H2-Markets project. Furthermore, we already have business partners in all partner countries. The network of business partners will be extended during the project duration.
  • AHK Egypt organised, for example, virtual information trip to give energy experts from Egypt a comprehensive overview on the production, storage and distribution of green hydrogen in Germany. For the summer of 2023, the chamber is planning, together with the AHK Morocco, a delegation trip to Germany to bring Egyptian and Moroccan companies together with partners from Germany. The development of cooperation in the field of hydrogen will therefore be a central focus for both chambers in Egypt and Morocco in the coming months and years.
  • In addition, the AHK Egypt is also currently setting up an internship platform as part of the "Special Initiative on Training and Employment". The chamber will provide students of the project partners with access to the platform. The H2-Markets project will promote the platform at universities in Egypt. Furthermore, we will build up a special sector of the platform for internships in the green hydrogen sector.
  • The German Chamber of Commerce in Morocco is already a strategic partner in the DAAD ADENIN project (2020-2023) between the UM5R and UoC. In addition, the chamber in Morocco cooperates closely with the GIZ within the framework of the "Special Initiative on Training and Employment". A business desk has been set up at the AHK Morocco to advise Moroccan and European companies on the instruments and offers of the special initiative in order to create jobs in Morocco.
  • The University of Cologne will furthermore use its presence in Cairo to link the H2-Markets activities to local initiatives and platforms. As we did already during the DAAD BaSEF project, we will cooperate with the Cairo Climate Talks (CCT), a German-Egyptian environmental platform founded in 2011 as a cooperation project between the German Embassy in Cairo, the Egyptian Ministry of Environment, the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) and other organisations. Furthermore, events can be linked to DAAD Cosimena clusters of the DAAD Regional Office Cairo.
